Gorg-O-Mish opened in 2003 (in a converted 1940s dance studio) and became Vancouver’s first legal after-hours club. The club’s name roughly translates to “twilight” (from a Farsi slang), hinting at its after-dark, liminal, late-night vibe.

Its mission has always emphasised music, art, expression, and community rather than mainstream nightlife — a place oriented toward lovers of dance music and nightlife beyond typical bar hours.
